Dr Pratik Sharma

Biography

Pratik graduated from Guy’s Dental Hospital in 1999 with a distinction in dental surgery.

He divides his time between London Smile Clinic and working as a consultant and senior clinical lecturer at Royal London hospital.

As a registered orthodontic specialist, Pratik has extensive experience using the full range of orthodontic systems to treat simple to advanced cases. He especially enjoys providing effective yet discreet treatment with tooth-coloured fixed braces, behind-the-teeth lingual braces and Invisalign clear aligners.

Pratik is a prolific author on orthodontics whose articles have appeared in peer-reviewed journals. He also speaks and lectures on the subject at international conferences and events.

In 2020, Pratik was awarded the prestigious B.F. and Helen E. Dewel Award for clinical research from the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics. He is also a recipient of the British Orthodontic Society’s Chapman Prize.
