Gummy and Uneven Smile

The Problem

This patient was very unhappy with her gummy and uneven smile and the crowding of her lower teeth.

 

The Solution

A gum lift procedure was used to raise the gum level and eight veneers were used to straighten and whiten the upper teeth. Over the same period, the lower teeth were straightened with an Inman Aligner. The whole treatment took two months, all in time for her 25th birthday!

The Interview
What motivated you to change your smile?

I have always wanted straight bottom teeth and have always been conscious of my gummy smile in photographs. So before my 25th birthday I decided to do something about it.

What treatment did you have?

Inman aligner and tooth whitening for my lower teeth. Gum lift on my top teeth with eight veneers

How did you feel during the process, was your treatment comfortable?

I was nervous to start with but did not feel any pain. It was comfortable and not as bad as I thought it would be

How do you feel about the result, did it match or exceed your expectations?

The result is excellent, when I see picture of my teeth before my treatment I wonder why it took me so long to decide to have treatment. It didn’t take long at all a few months for everything including the teeth straightening in the lower.

Is it something you would recommend to family and friends?

Definitely! Close relatives and friends have noticed and complimented me on how great my smile looks. Plus it’s so natural looking, just the result I wanted.

How has your new smile changed your life, what difference will it make to you?

It will definitely boost my confidence. I’m not worried about how my teeth look in pictures any more. I’m delighted with the results.
