After qualifying from Trinity College Dublin in 2002. Daniel spent a year as a House Officer in the Dublin Dental Hospital, concentrating on both restorative dentistry and oral surgery.

Following this, he worked in private practice and completed the MFDS exams before beginning a three-year programme in Endodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute. He was subsequently awarded the Membership in Restorative Dentistry (MRD), the highest formal qualification available for the endodontic mono-specialty, by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and entered onto the General Dental Council’s Specialist List for Endodontics.

He has lectured around the UK and internationally and gives hands-on courses for general dentists. Daniel has also taught Endodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute.

Daniel specialises in saving teeth. He believes that a natural tooth is superior than any prosthetic so long as its strong enough and has adequate bone attachment.

To this end he has dedicated the last 5 years perfecting endodontic microsurgery techniques, the ultimate tooth saving procedure. He is also dedicated to diagnosing causes of odontogenic pain and infection using state of the art small volume CBCT scans. Daniel has treated thousands of nervous and anxious patients over the years and has developed a virtually pain-free treatment approach.

CBCT

Our in house CBCT scanner is an essential tool for endodontic excellence. Small volume CBCT scans are not required in every case but when there is doubt about the diagnosis or the best way to proceed with treatment, they provide superb additional information which can lead us in the right direction. Some studies have shown that 30% of abscesses are not detected with conventional radiography.

Gone are the days of the clumsy apicectomy. Microsurgery using state of the art equipment results in >90% success rates in studies lasting 5 – 7 years. This is now a fantastic treatment option to offer to your patients.

Our aim is to ensure that both the referred patient and you, the referring dentist, are delighted with the quality of our clinical expertise and the level of care and attention they receive from us.

2. Trust

We will only carry out the treatment previously agreed with the referring dentist. We will always refer patients back for any other treatments, unless you request otherwise.

3. Choice and consent

After the initial consultation, we will always provide the patient with a written treatment plan, a copy of which is always sent to the referring dentist. No treatment will be carried out without an estimate of fees given to the patient.

4. Care

In the rare event where complications arise after the patient has been treated by us, we will always ensure that they receive the remedial care they require immediately.

5. Support
