Dr James Russell, senior associate at The London Smile Clinic, was the big winner at the 2009 Smile Awards.

The awards were set up to "recognise and award those dentists practising at the highest level of aesthetic dentistry."

James won the Conservative Smile award for his use of a single veneer to mask a dark front tooth, blending the result perfectly into the surrounding teeth. He was also Highly Commended in the Restorative Smile category for his use of 10 veneers to create a beautifully natural smile AND finally, James provided the clinical work for an implant supported bridge that won the Aesthetic Technician award.

James said, "It's an honour to be recognised at the 2009 Smile Awards, I'm always looking to improve my techniques and provide the best for my patients – it's fantastic to have this acknowledged by the judges."
